Skagit MRC is working to protect, enhance, and restore marine populations to healthy sustainable levels. Citizen scientists are trained to help with surveys and monitoring. Native oyster restoration in Fidalgo Bay has been a high priority since 2002.
Marine Water Quality
Skagit MRC is working to improve, protect, and restore the health of our marine waters through: Low Impact Development, Smart Sponge technology, creosote removal, water quality monitoring, and education and outreach.
Education & Outreach
Skagit MRC fosters stewardship and understanding of our local marine resources through education and outreach by providing training, special events, workshops, interpretive signage and educational materials.
