Padilla Bay Planting Parties

Padilla Bay Planting Parties

Planting parties will focus on installing native trees and shrubs in some of the uplands at the reserve. With our new native plant nursery, we are working to restore our uplands to a mix of mature forest and native coastal prairie. We’re also holding drop-in stewardship work parties on the last Tuesdays of the upcoming months (except December). These work parties could involve a variety of tasks related to planting and invasive species removal.

Planting Work Parties:
Jan 15th (MLK day), 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Feb 3rd, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
March 2nd, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Drop-in Stewardship Work Parties:
Jan 30th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Feb 27th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

RSVPs are appreciated so that we can plan for the right amount of people. Use this form and contact Spencer at sjohnson@padillabay.gov if you are a new volunteer. Department of Ecology requires that volunteers be 18 years or older.

Hope you can join for some fun hands-on restoration work this winter! Please send any questions to Spencer at sjohnson@padillabay.gov
