Free Beach Water Quality Training

March 28, 2018

Free Training at the Padilla Bay Reserve:

BEACH (Beach Environmental Assessment, Communication and Health)

Wednesday, March 28, 2018

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Staff from the Dept of Health and Ecology will be at Padilla Bay to train Padilla Bay staff and volunteers. The program starts up on Memorial Day and goes through Labor Day. Volunteers take 3-4 water samples from Bay View State Park, along with some field data, and drive the samples to Edge Analytical lab in Burlington. We sample each week, but volunteers can commit to as many or as few days as they wish. If volunteers are not available for this training, staff can hold a second training later in the spring.
